Two Weltanschauung, two antagonistic, implacably opposed world views are colliding in the Middle East. One incarnating a God-oriented community, a sacred, well-ordered society; the other based on gold, greed and savage tribalism. Iran versus Israel. A war between good and evil, no less.

Naturally, the media of the secular, anti-sacred West spin a gross inversion of values The ‘Mad Mullahs’ want to nuke the little, democratic Jewish state. A grotesquely false narrative, as only Israel, the aggressor, has a large store of nuclear weapons. Iran does not. As a righteous, committed Christian-Anglican ‘Mullah’, I nail my colours to the mast. The Zionist entity, headed by Dracula-like Bibi Netanyahu, has started this war. Hence Israel is the guilty party. No amount of media obfuscation and state propaganda can erase this truth.

Bibi likes to invoke sanguinary OT tropes, like the extermination of a rival tribe, the Amalekites. (He’d love to treat Palestinians that way.) The latest is from the Book of Numbers, 23-24. About a lion eating its prey and drinking the blood of the slain. A chillingly revealing quote. Why not rather adduce Cyrus the Great? The Persian ruler highly praised by ancient Jews. ‘Anointed by God’ - the Prophet Isaiah salutes him as a one who returned the Hebrew exiles from Babylon and permitted them to rebuild their Temple. A wonderful Iranian guy, no? But Netanyahu doesn’t cite him. After having tasted the blood of slain Gazans, more blood, the blood of the modern Persians is what he thirsts for. Sickening.

Yes, Iran is a religion-led polity. Created by Ayatollah Khomeini after the 1979 revolution. ‘A revolution against history’, Michel Foucault called it, because it put God back at the heart of politics, unlike previous historical events like the French and the Russian revolutions. Centuries ago, Europe too was like that. It was called ‘Christendom’. A universal polity under the sway of Christ. The rot set in with the Satanic, dark Western ideology paradoxically termed ‘the Enlightenment’. The sacred was excluded, banished from the political arena as a mere ‘superstition’. Come to think of it, wasn’t the Vatican also a little Iran, right up to 1870, when disbanded by Freemasonry-led Italians?

And the state of Israel? The rival Weltanschauung at war with religious Iran? Despite its PM appealing to blood-curdling Biblical passages, most of its population doesn’t even believe in God. The Zionism of Thedore Herzl was largely a secularist creed, a nationalist ideology. Religious, suprematist Hebrew fanatics exist in Bibi’s government but they are not central to the nation’s nature. The meaning of that entity was grasped by a brilliant Jewish atheist, Karl Marx, two centuries back. (I remain fond of that crabbed German scholar!) The true religion of Israel is gold, a.k.a. barefaced, rampant, unbridled capitalism. In that sense and given its close links to the Moloch of modern money-worship, America, Israel embodies the cult of the anti-sacred, the adoration of Mammon, the goddess of money.

I have been to Iran twice on conferences and travelled around from Tehran to Isfahan. Once it was during the presidential elections. I saw Iranians, young and old, men and women, engaged in open, public debate. Nothing suggested a dictatorship or people’s fear to speak their minds. Unfortunately, leader Mahmud Ahmadinejad spoke unguardedly about the state of Israel and Zionists twisted his words to suggest he was urging Israel’s annihilation. Right now it looks the other way around...

I have never been to Palestine . Open to an invitation...Individual Israelis I have met so far were okay. Curious to investigate the place. I am open-minded, see?
